The Blooming Fields is going organic.

We are shifting over to organic methods of growing and maintaining The Blooming Fields. It will take us a while but "the longest journey starts with a single step". Last year our veggies were already pesticide free, this year we are moving towards pesticide free fruit and trees. So... that's the news on our U-pick. We are very excited to move away from working with chemicals. In the past we tried to use chemicals as scarcely as possible,in the next few years we want to eliminate chemicals completely.

Pim took several classes in biological fertilizing and pest managment, and we even went to Cuba with Organic Alberta to learn from the farmers there.
