The
strawberries don't look too happy this year. Cold weather
has resulted in poor growth and the result is that we have
very small plants, which are producing little strawberries.
Since the plants are so small, the birds see the fruits
really well, and start to feast on them before we get a
chance to beat them.
The
saskatoons are looking very, very promising. We hope to
start picking in about a week to ten days. For cherries
and currants it looks the same. There is a huge crop hanging
there and picking should be about the same time as the Saskatoons.
